When working on a project, AMS develops an Environmental Management Plan (EMP) which details the environmental management processes that will be used by AMS in the implementation of the project.

The EMP will cover the following:

• Requirements for environmental management specific to the project including all legislative requirements
• Activities which have the potential to cause any environmental impact
• Environmental controls, mitigation measures and limits to control the impacts and to ensure that the environmental objectives and targets are achieved
• The responsibilities for implementing the EMP
• An overview of the environmental monitoring programs, contingency plans and associated management actions
• Management System to deal with complaints and environmental incidents
• Post activity monitoring and inspection
