AMS, as in any organisation, faces internal and external factors that can affect the outcomes of expected objectives. All organisational activities involve risk and can be categorised as corporate, safety or environmental risks.
To address these identified risks, AMS applies the principles of AS/NZS ISO 31000:2009 (formerly AS 4360:2004) to its integrated business management system incorporating ISO 9001:2008, ISO 14001:2004, AS 4801:2001 and OHSAS 18001:2007.
AMS actively promotes risk management principles and recognises its many sectors requiring specific and unique needs. Through the adoption of consistent processes, and with a comprehensive framework, risk is managed effectively, efficiently and coherently across the entire organisation.
AMS’ risk process includes identification, analysis, evaluation and risk treatment, coupled with communication / consultation before the very critical phase of the process – Monitor and review.
