Australian Maritime Systems

AMS can provide emergency towage services available around the Australian coastline utilising the Pacific  Responder which  is  a dedicated  emergency  towage  vessel  (ETV)  which is regularly deployed throughout the Great Barrier Reef and surrounding areas.

It is  the  only  vessel  of  its  capability and  type  in  Australia  and  spends  the  majority of its time patrolling at sea with emergency towage events taking precedence over its maintenance duties.

The ETV Pacific Responder is a 64 metre, 900 tonne vessel which improves Australia’s maritime emergency response capabilities.   The  vessel enhances  Australia’s ability  to  respond  to  a  shipping  incident  in  this sensitive and important marine environment.  The powerful ocean going vessel is also equipped to carry out other first response activities.
