Australian Maritime Systems

Automatic Weather Stations (AWS) provide a wide range of meteorological information.  AMS has installed a number of these for various clients in Australia and abroad and can customise solutions to suit client’s needs.

AWS consist of individual sensors which are light, compact units in hard anodized aluminium.  Sensors may include Wind Direction, Wind Speed, Air Temperature, Relative Humidity, Visibility, Rainfall and Air Pressure.  In addition AMS can integrate these with other technologies such as Tide Gauge Radar Sensors.

Data from Automatic Weather Stations can be converted to engineering units and stored in the data logger for monitoring and analysis.

AMS can install these stations in remote areas using solar power and real time output can be sent to a desired location using standard communication protocols.
