Advanced Sentinel Modules

Spoofing

The latest Sentinel feature allows you to spoof your position by transmitting falsified OwnShip position based on a route. Other AIS participants observe the 'Ghost Ship' (not your actual position) without any indication of impropriety.

Anti-Spoofing

Anti-Spoofing is comprised of two modules: Position Determination and Behavior Analysis.

• Positional Determination enables Sentinel to detect intentional spoofs of position.
• The Behavior Analysis module provides Sentinel with the ability to detect intentional and unintentional errors in a target’s transmitted AIS data.
